FAQ
Common questions.
Do I need to rent my own dumpster?
Often, yes. For most larger jobs the dumpster is rented directly from an independent provider and billed to you by them. We don't own or rent out dumpsters. For smaller jobs, other disposal arrangements may make more sense. We'll talk through what fits when we review your project.
Can you load a dumpster I've already rented?
Yes. Labor-only loading is one of our core services. We carry items out, break down what can be broken down, and pack the container to make good use of the space you're paying for. The dumpster company's weight limits and prohibited-item rules still apply.
How do estimates work?
Send the request form with a description and photos. We review it and either give you an estimate based on what we can see, or ask to look at the property in person first. Price depends on volume, how much sorting is needed, stairs and carry distance, access, and the disposal setup.
Do you handle entire house cleanouts?
Yes. We review whole houses, including basements, attics, garages, and outbuildings. For estates we can work through the property in stages and set aside items the family wants to keep or review.
Do you work with landlords and investors?
Yes. We consider legally authorized turnover clear-outs and property preparation before renovation. We can provide before-and-after photos and a written scope for your records.
Can you remove kitchen cabinets or flooring?
Yes, as selective interior demolition: cabinets, countertops, carpet, laminate and many tile floors, fixtures, and non-structural partitions. We don't perform structural demolition, and some work requires permits. We'll flag that when reviewing the scope.
What materials can't you handle?
We do not remove or disturb asbestos, lead paint, mold remediation materials, chemicals, fuels, or other hazardous waste. If we suspect a regulated material, we stop and recommend a qualified specialist. Dumpster providers also restrict items such as tires, batteries, paint, and electronics.
I only have a few items. Is that worth contacting you?
Yes. Tell us what you have. Very small loads often don't justify renting a dumpster, and a hauling company with its own truck may be the better value. We'll say so plainly, or suggest an arrangement that makes sense.
Do you take commercial jobs?
We consider offices, storefronts, and smaller retail or storage spaces. Larger commercial or industrial projects are reviewed individually; we'll tell you up front if the job is beyond what we can handle well.
What happens if a job turns out larger than expected?
We stop and talk to you before doing additional work. Any change to scope or price is agreed in writing before it's carried out. Nothing is added to the bill without your approval.
Do I need to be there during the work?
Not always. Many jobs run with lockbox or key access, especially for realtors, executors, and landlords. We'll agree on access and how we'll keep you updated.
Will you set aside items for the family?
Yes. Tell us which photographs, documents, furniture, or other belongings to keep. We'll agree on what to set aside for your review.
Can you donate usable items?
Where it's practical, we can set usable furniture and goods aside for donation. Acceptance is up to the receiving organization.
Who pays for the dumpster?
When you rent a dumpster, you pay the provider directly under their terms, including any weight or overage fees. Our estimate covers our labor and project work.
Tell us about the job.
Describe the property and the work. Photos help. We'll review the scope and follow up with an estimate or a time to look in person.
